1 Peter 5:7 says "Cast your anxieties on Him because He cares for you."
I am still in an "in between" stage right now, trusting the LORD to provide support for this ministry of reconciliation He has called me to. I have been waiting, trusting, and with His help overcoming doubts and fears daily.
But He is faithful. Peter was the one who wrote the above verse, and he was one who walked with Christ. He worried so much about things even when Jesus was right there with him. Remember when Christ called Him to walk out on the water? Remember when he rebuked Christ and commanded him not to go through with his Crucifixion? Well, this has helped me to know that advice given through the Word has reminded me to cast even the biggest anxieties I may have on the LORD. And I am not casting these on someone who will ignore me and does not show concern for my situation. "Because He cares for you". He cares for me, works for my good in all things (Romans 8:28), and for His name's sake (Psalm 23).
So this is tough. Trusting the LORD to provide so much out of so little. But He who turned a few pieces of bread and a couple fish to feed thousands, and He who calmed the raging storms of the sea, can He and will He not also calm the storms that rage inside my heart?
One week to go: Waiting patiently for Him. His time and agenda, and not mine. May His name be praised in my life and death no matter what happens...this is the heart I am praying for, and the heart I would ask you to pray for in me as well. He knows what I need and gives generously.
If you have time with Him and feel led, please pray for support, housing, and united hearts in New Mexico and across the nation and world for Christ to complete this mission of testifying the Gospel.
Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus; Just to Take Him at His Word...Oh for the Grace to Trust Him More!
